December 18th - Kelly

Quick update for tonight - Kyle is doing good on CPAP. His oxygen requirements are within an acceptable range! He has had a couple of de-saturations and a couple of the brady episodes. Please keep asking the Lord for healing for his lungs and to just plain get bigger. This what he needs right now.

He lost weight tonight, they were warning us that this could happen as he began to use more calories to work at breathing. He is also on the chronic diuretics and this can make him lose weight. Amy (his nurse tonight - she is GREAT!!) says he looks good right now - not having to work too hard and is resting on his tummy.

The little girl I asked you to pray for last night passed away today. Please pray for her parents.

off to try and sleep now.

Our daughter was in NICU for 3 weeks after birth due to immature lungs and Brady episodes. We were able to bring her home on a heart monitor and 6 months later all was fine. She is now a thriving 15 month old. I know from experience that God will answer the prayers for the most innocent. Keep the Faith! (That is our daughter's middle name...just for that reason!)

Hi Kelly,
I am Abby, Becky's friend from Colorado. I have been following Kyle's progress since he was born. My daughter Ellie spent most of her first year in the hospital, but she is out now, doing great and keeping us on our toes. Those months now feel like a blur.
You are doing a great job, Kyle couldn't ask for better parents. Thank you for sharing your and Kyle's story with us.

Just wanted you to know you were prayed for several times today - the Lord would bring you to mind & it was my cue to pray...not knowing what you needed at that moment but HE knew. Praying - praying - praying - expecting miracles each & every day for each & every new challenge & need. But never forgetting to Praise Him with each answered request and in advance for all HE is going to do.

Every time I look at Kyle in the photo with the c-pap, he looks like he is waving.... saying "hey folks, here I am..... I'll be out of here before you know it!!" I smile every time I look at him. Thanks again for sharing your life and Kyle's life with me.

Still praying, still believing and still EXPECTING healing.

I am so glad that Kyle is doing good and I am continuing to pray for his strength each new day.

This Poem was given to a friend of mine who lost her mother recently. I thought it might be comforting to your friends that have lost their little angels.

My First Christmas in Heaven

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below,
with tiny lights like heavens stars reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular,
please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas
with Jesus this year

I hear the many Christmas songs
that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here

I have no words to tell you,
the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description,
to hear the angels sing

I know how much you miss me
I see the pain inside your heart
but I am not so far away
We really aren't apart.

So be happy for me dear ones,
You know I hold you dear,
and be glad I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus this year.

I sent you a special gift,
from my heavenly home above
I sent you each a memory
of my undying love

After all love is a gift more
precious than pure gold
It was always most important
in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other,
as my father said to do
For I can't count the blessings or love he has for each of you.

So have a Merry Christmas and
wipe away that tear
Remember I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year

Our Story

This story begins with 5 people. John, Kelly, Jadon, Jack, and Kyle (he is only 23 weeks old... and he is still safely tucked away in his mommy's belly) In an hour's time Kyle made his way into the world. 1 pound, 3 ounces- 11 and a half inches long. This family will never be the same. This child is a warrior. He has the spirit of a Lion, and more courage than a whole pride. He is fierce, and fearless- and he is teaching us to fear the Lord- and to believe that God is in our midst and healing even now. Join us as pray, as we praise, and as we journey through this life as lovers of God and all His glory.

Kyle is in the March of Dimes Promo!
