We are about to head home!

It is 1:31... day of life 114...
we are about to leave.  We will be loading up soon.  Deb, one of our awesome nurse practitioners, is in our room right now talking through some do's and don'ts, etc... helpful hints,...  orders, etc...
She is great.  We will miss all these people immensely... Valerie the NP, Kelly the NP, Brenda the NP,...  all these people have become so important to us... bittersweet feelings... they are so great.
We got to hang out with Coy's fam a little today.  That was awesome.  We are leaving behind some great friends here,... keep praying for us and Coy (and his fam)!
We know Coy is in great hands, though, and look forward to the day where we can celebrate
him going home with Chris and Ann Marie as well!

Day of life 114... on Oct. 22, There was less than a 1% chance of that happening.
Here we are.
God is good.
No matter what struggles, no matter what crisis of faith we face sometime...
God is good.

We will write more later.

We are heading out!

OH My Golly WOW - - how exciting. I can just see you guys all excited & scared & anxious & relieved & feeling so blessed...all of that & more all at the same time. WOW - - we want to see pictures. We want to hear all about Kyle's first minute in the real world - with real world air & the car ride & then his first second in the door of his home. WOW - (isn't "wow" a great word sometimes?!?!) I'm so thankful for this moment for you all.
I'm crying with excitement & joy & thanksgiving!!
Now, go & be happy & "family".

You WILL continue to post here, won't you? I know your lives are about to be changed even more than for the past 114 days - but ... I am sitting here (again) with tears in my eyes as I read Barbie's post. She is so right. WOW is a GREAT word at a time like this!

Praise God! I am so thrilled for you all. I will be praying for all three boys, Mommy and Daddy as another "New Normal" gets settled into. There are tears welling up in my eyes as I type this. What an incredible testimony of His faithfulness...to have that baby in his HOME on his due date. I love God so much. I thank Him that this day was ordained for Kyle before he was conceived. What a blessing. I hope that this evening goes smoothly and that those little guys love every minute of their little lion. I am praying that you will be able to enjoy it and not fret. (I know that's what I would probably do...watching baby's every breath, while holding mine).

You are all loved...and as new sets of prayer requests arise in the new normal/new natural habitat..we will still be praying!
I am so happy for you all! - Colleen

All I could think of when I read this post was the words to an old hymn... "Praise God from whom all blessings flow... Praise him all creatures here below..." Our God is so Awesome!

Like so many others, I've been here since day one too -- Reading, hoping, and, most of all, praying. I hope that you continue posting --

You said that there was only a 1% chance of the "homecoming" happening. Those doctors didn't realize there was a 100% chance that God would be working to heal Kyle! :) Ain't God good!!!

I wore my lion shirt today in honor of Kyle's 'exodus'! Will continue to pray for all of you as your family adjusts to this new 'normal'. And I have no doubts that Kyle's brain will be totally healed. God isn't finished with him yet-- or any of you for that matter! Keep the faith, and when you can't, know that we are all out here keeping it for you.

Hey guys - we are so excited the day has finally come!! Oh, how God has answered all the prayers in an amazing way!! It has strengthened my relationship with the Lord as I have seen you guys walk through this trial over the last four months and often given me great things of the Lord to ponder. Thank you for sharing and being so transparent. You are a GREAT testimony to the Kingdom. We love you all!!

Love,

PRAISE GOD!!!!!! We are SO excited for you! Carie called to tell me today and my jaw dropped open! YES! God IS good and you "can do all things through Christ who (will) give you strength"!!! What amazing times we live in where you CAN take home the needed equipment and not have to stay in the hospital! You will remain in our prayers and hopefully Kaleb and Kyle will be playmates before you know it! :)

Kelly and John,
I praise God for this wonderful day and the many to come! God has great things in store for Kyle. What a lucky little guy he is to have such wonderful parents who will teach about the loving God who breathed the very breath into his lungs! What a lucky little guy to go home to such great big brothers as Jadon and Jack! What a beautiful family!!! I will pray for you all as you adjust to your new life at home. I will continue to pray for healing and growth for Kyle and protection from infection. Praise God for what He has done!

Much love and prayers,

I pray that your stay at the Ronald McDonald House gave you great peace and excitement to be in your own home and I know the Lord is blessing you abundantly. I made a small donation to my local Ronald McDonald House in honor of your family. I pray that is will bless another family as I hope it blessed you.

Thinking of you guys.
I have a few friends who think they went to school w/ John. What a small world I have found by forwarding your page.

Our Story

This story begins with 5 people. John, Kelly, Jadon, Jack, and Kyle (he is only 23 weeks old... and he is still safely tucked away in his mommy's belly) In an hour's time Kyle made his way into the world. 1 pound, 3 ounces- 11 and a half inches long. This family will never be the same. This child is a warrior. He has the spirit of a Lion, and more courage than a whole pride. He is fierce, and fearless- and he is teaching us to fear the Lord- and to believe that God is in our midst and healing even now. Join us as pray, as we praise, and as we journey through this life as lovers of God and all His glory.

Kyle is in the March of Dimes Promo!
