Prayer Wall - LaNay (Kyle's Aunt)

I know we all want to do something right now. And I also know that the thing John & Kelly want us to do most is pray. The church we attended in Round Rock assembled a prayer wall with church members praying for the church, staff, ministries, missionaries, etc., around the clock. 24/7, with no “cut-off” date. I was able to take part and grew to look forward to my time “on the wall”. It is amazing how clearly you can discern how God is moving you to pray when you are completely still, alone and “wire-less”.

Judging by the number of visitors to Kyle’s CaringBridge and blog postings, I am confident that together we could form a prayer wall (consisting of one-hour time-slots, once a week) to cover Kyle in prayer 24/7. This would not be meant to replace your daily prayers for him, but rather to complement them. This would not be something that we would do for a week or two, but until Kyle comes home and is thriving.

My first and foremost goal in putting this together is for God to hear our prayers and see Kyle grow stronger everyday. Another important goal is to support John & Kelly. John will know, as he’s leaving the hospital late at night, there is someone praying for Kyle that very moment. Kelly will know, as she’s standing by his incubator, she is joined in prayer for Kyle that very moment. This is something we can all do for them.

So I invite you to pray this through, decide if you can make a commitment and when. When you are ready, e-mail me at coachesadvantage@yahoo.com with your first and last name, 3 time-slot choices (You crazy kids on “musician’s schedules” might be able to handle those late night hours better than some of us “8-5ers”. J), and your time zone (I’m sure we’re not all Texan.) I’ll put together a schedule and we’ll get started. Standing in the gap,

LaNay Blackmon,
Kyle’s Aunt in Houston, TX

Hi Sherill Family,
Ruth Lauer is my friend Alison Hill's Mom... my name is Sarah Rice. Our family is in lower Alabama and while we don't know you personally, your precious family is weighing heavily on our hearts. You are in our prayers daily.
We've just come through a tough season ourselves with my husband deploying to Iraq and finally getting to come home. My Mom organized a prayer caldendar like this one and I'm TELLING you... it makes a difference to have SO MUCH prayer coverage. It matters. Heaven MOVES.
Sign me up for praying every day at 7am. I'll be standing in the gap on your behalf. And I'll be thrilled to hear the updates as God continues to make ALL THINGS NEW! Remember that He has got you in His grip every minute of every day... and that you are never alone.
much love and affection,
Sarah Rice

Dear Family,
Wanted you to know you are daily in my prayers not only for Kyle's healing but for your emotional and physical strength. When you feel you cannot go on may you feel God's arms carrying you and comforting you. My fifth grade class has seen a picture of Kyle and they ask daily about him and I have some who tell me they are praying for him. Praying for God's miraculous healing of Kyle in his timing.
May God bless you and strengthen you.

Dear Sherrill Family,
This is Mary Ford. My family and I have attended CRBC for 10 plus years now. I live in the medical center area, and I'm an RN at Memorial Hermann-TMC. I work in the Adult Transplant Surgical ICU on the third floor, Hermann Pavillion. I know how scary of a place the hospital can be, but I have seen God's hands at work there countless times. He is amazing - full of grace and mercy. I just want you to know you are ALL in my prayers. God bless you!

I am not the best at this but umm.. I have heard other storys and all and when kyle has a bad day you just have to pray hard for him thats all you can do and give him all your love i mean we arent powerful enough to change this so just follow the footprints in the sand and god will lead you to were you need to be. Your a great loving family and i went to camp 220 and i've seen how godfearing and honoring john ishe is just passonite and from what you've said i think your the same way so just keep loving him and like i said god will make a path you just have to choose a few things along the way but just have faith and wait for god to make a major change like maybe the first night kyle gets to go home i mean you never no. We all wish u the best and love you.

Our Story

This story begins with 5 people. John, Kelly, Jadon, Jack, and Kyle (he is only 23 weeks old... and he is still safely tucked away in his mommy's belly) In an hour's time Kyle made his way into the world. 1 pound, 3 ounces- 11 and a half inches long. This family will never be the same. This child is a warrior. He has the spirit of a Lion, and more courage than a whole pride. He is fierce, and fearless- and he is teaching us to fear the Lord- and to believe that God is in our midst and healing even now. Join us as pray, as we praise, and as we journey through this life as lovers of God and all His glory.

Kyle is in the March of Dimes Promo!
